I have worked with several organizations in the K-12 education space leading the charge in innovative ways to better serve students. From changing how we invest in schools to building a district from scratch to designing a technology driven academic model, I have had the privilege to work with work with some of the best entrepreneurs in education doing really exciting things:

Strategic Planning

In a third party support role, I have worked with over 50 charter school organizations on developing and refining strategic plans for growth and replication. I continued working with the majority of these organizations as they executed against their plans and was able to see what worked and what didn't.

As an operator, I have worked as a senior leader at two rapidly growing K-12 organizations. I understand the importance of strategic planning and real work associated with executing against those plans. 

Financial Modeling

In a third party support role, I have worked with over 50 charter school organizations on building and testing the soundness of their financial model for long-term growth. My work included ensuring it tied to their strategic plans, evaluating it against their market, and comparing it to other industry and non-industry data points. At the Charter School Growth Fund, I built several financial model templates in Excel used by multiple organizations as their financial model.

As an operator, I have built multiple financial models and managed the organizations financial strategy against those models. I understand what happens when 'things change' and how to plan for that in advance.

Data Analysis

At the Charter School Growth Fund, I led the charge on its first financial sustainability analysis of the charter school sector and in developing metrics for evaluating financial models for potential investments.

Also at the Charter School Growth Fund, I was deeply involved in the design of its academic performance evaluation and spent plenty of time actually doing the analysis.

Facility Planning

At Intrinsic Schools, I led the charge in constructing its first campus, the first purposefully built blended learning school in the U.S. This was a cool project, you can learn more here.

At the Charter School Growth Fund, I worked with the CFO to develop and launch its Facility Financing Fund and worked with multiple organizations on structuring and finalizing financing for charter school facilities.
